Alan’s plays have been staged across the UK since 2009.
The Ching Room and The Confidant were both first produced in co-production between Oran Mor and Traverse Theatre; Turbo Folk, nominated for Best New Play at the Critics Awards for Theatre in Scotland 2010, also premiered at Oran Mor; Pinocchio was a direct commission for Arches Theatre Company, and The Moira Monologues, self-produced by Alan and director Sacha Kyle, premiered at the 2009 Aye Write festival in Glasgow before going on to run at the Citizens Theatre, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.
